In the days before antibiotics, people used a remedy named colloidal silver to fight infections, disease, and pretty much to solve any other medical problem one might have. While it does have some verifiable medicinal properties, modern medicine has come a long way in the last 150+ years and we now have better remedies that do not cause irreversible discoloration of this skin.
Paul Karason now has a condition named Argyria, and he will so the rest of his life. He lived in Oregon, but now has moved to California to get away from the “unkind” people who were no very accepting of his new skin color.
