Ron Paul will be a guest on tonight’s airing of The Tonight Show. He’s already been there once, and hopefully this time he gets the same boost as Huckabee. Huckabee was a guest the same day he won the Iowa Caucus.

Also, according to the “Top of the Ticket” blog on Latimes.com, Paul is going to be running some serious TV and radio ads this week. Here is an except from the ad:

“As a congressman for almost 2 decades, Ron Paul knows our constitution is there to protect our freedom and limited government. He has never voted for a tax increase or an unbalanced budget. His record clearly shows he will cut taxes and stop runaway spending. People who know him call him the taxpayer’s best friend.”

Since everyone on the internets already knows all about him, this is a good change for the voters who get all of their information from the TV (i.e. older people ) to get some experience with Ron Paul. Since he put the whup on Rudy last week, I hope they will see the commercials and say to themselves: “Hey! I know he isn’t one of the ‘mainstream’ candidates, but I like what he has to say!”

(via Top of the Ticket)

And Ron didn’t just beat him, as of 11:26 PST (with 96% of precincts reporting) he is stomping him by almost a 3 to 1 margin. While Rudy had written off Iowa as a loss awhile ago (he skipped campaigning there recently for New Hampshire and Florida) this goes to show that Paul has some real backers behind him. New Hampshire is next Tuesday, so we’ll soon see how well Rudy does in a primary where he is supposedly doing it “for reals” this time.
